This necklace features a Labradorite cabochon.  Labradorite is named after the first location where the stone was found, the Labrador peninsula of Canada.  This stone is know for its flashes of color, called schiller.  This particular piece of Labradorite has flashes of blue, green and yellow.  The cabochon is encased in .999 fine silver and is seated on .925 sterling silver.  The bail is a simple sterling silver wire loop for an elegant look.  The pendant hangs from an 20 inch long sterling silver cable chain with a lobster clasp and a 2 inch extender.  All jump rings have been soldered closed for safety.

Please keep in mind that all pieces of jewelry from Tabby Cat are handmade using natural gemstones.  Handmade means that there may be marks from the tools used in the process of making the setting.  Natural gemstones are just that- natural.  They may have pits in the surface or inclusions visible in transparent and translucent stones.  These things just add to the charm of piece.
